My name is Adam Mulholland and I just opened Adding Social, LLC in Colorado Springs, CO. The world is a greater place today because of the internet, and living on the other side of the world separates you from friends and family by milliseconds until you can see them again in person. This is a small company that builds communities in a different way and from a different view. Our investments are in communities that have value, and not just advertising dollars. Every community or social media platform lives and dies from advertising dollars that are shrinking each day due to people blocking them or skipping them. The internet is changing and adaptation is key to survive without Google Adsense, affiliate links, or other revenue streams built on showing visitors things to buy.
Our main source of revenue is selling services to include marketing, consulting, and design work. It’s not just an office with people churning in hours for minimum wage. Instead, the goal is to sell meaningful products or service at prices that are lower than the industry norm and to fulfill those sales by people working from home, making more than a living wage. All the while our communities are growing and exchanging ideas that give value to others. Is it so crazy to operate without ads or sponsorship? Perhaps, but only time will tell.
This is more of a corporate site where blogging doesn’t happen often. Adding Social, LLC grows communities and sells services and products on our other platforms. This site is the corporate umbrella to help make operating more than one site easier at the end of the year for tax purposes. Don’t worry, I still plan on offering content here about building a company and tracking our journey in building this company. I want to share the view from hiring employees, making business decisions, and offer you a glimpse from my point of view and those that work for me. You can read more in our about section.
So we are working together to build a company that helps train, and employ people around the world to work from home. I want to change the face of business in the 21st century and give the folks that work on behalf of the company something different. A comfortable living wage, a chance to be with loved ones, and an opportunity to grow with a company that they love without feeling the pressure to say they do. I want this company to be special and hopefully the last one I build.
